About the device

The RGT-MT18 is an 18-step, three-phase, SVC-compatible (TCR) reactive power compensation controller with touchscreen.

• It is used for reactive power compensation (inductive and capacitive).

• If the inductive reactive power comes from the grid, the controller switches in capacitors.

• If the capacitive reactive power comes from the grid, the controller switches in a shunt reactor.

• The goal is to reduce the ratio between inductive and capacitive as well as active and reactive energy in the system.

• It enables effective step compensation for unbalanced systems.

What is an SVC (TCR)?

SVC - Static VAR Compensation is a static reactive power compensation system that uses thyristor-controlled reactors to compensate capacitive power in the system evenly and quickly.
