Device description

The RGT-12 SVC is a 12-step three-phase reactive power compensation controller with a graphic LCD display, compatible with SVC (Static VAR Compensation).

• It is used for compensation of both inductive and capacitive reactive power.

• When inductive reactive power comes from the grid → the controller switches capacitors in.

• When capacitive reactive power comes from the grid → the controller switches on a shunt reactor.

• This effectively reduces the ratio between inductive and capacitive energy and optimizes the power factor.

• Enables efficient step compensation for unbalanced systems.

What is an SVC (TCR)?

SVC is a static reactive power compensation system with thyristor-controlled reactors that enables smooth and fast compensation of capacitive power in the system.
