Product description

The SSR-09 relay from Tense is a modern device for automatic water level control in boilers, storage tanks, and water heaters.
It ensures a reliable water supply, timely pump shutdown, and above all an effective dry run protection of the electric heating element.

The device monitors the water level with capacitive electrodes and automatically controls the pump and heating according to the current situation in the tank.

Operating principle

The SSR-09 operates with two electrodes located in the tank:

1. Lower electrode (min. fill level)

   • If the water level falls below this electrode, the relay activates the pump and starts pumping water.

2. The upper electrode (max. fill level)

   • When the upper level is reached, the relay automatically switches off the pump.

3. Protective electrode on the heating element

   • If there is no water in the heating element, the relay interrupts the power supply to the heating element and prevents overheating.

This intelligent logic ensures safe and economical operation of the entire system.

Installation and connection

• Mounting on standard DIN rail in the control cabinet.
