The digital thermal relays TRM-12 from TENSE are designed for protecting loads from damage caused by high currents.
They allow setting of overcurrent, fault delay time, and operating mode.

They feature internal current transformers and a 3×3-digit LED display for clear operation monitoring.

Operating principle

• When the supply voltage is applied, the relay switches on and activates the output contact, the OUT indicator lights up.

• If the set overcurrent value is exceeded, the delay time starts counting down and the ERR indicator lights up.

• After the time expires, the relay switches off, the output contact switches, and OUT goes off.

• The relay reset occurs automatically or manually depending on the selected mode:

  • Manual: manual reset required after a fault.

  • Semi-automatic: automatic reset 3 times, then manual reset

  • Automatic: automatic reset upon each fault occurrence

50% asymmetry

• If the difference between the highest and lowest phase current exceeds 50%, the relay switches to asymmetry fault mode.

• The fault is indicated by blinking displays and the ERR indicator.

• Manual reset is required to return.

• Currents below 2 A are not monitored.
