TENSE has expanded its range of controllers for reactive power compensation systems.
The 12-step reactive power compensation controller, RGT-12E, manufactured by Tense (Turkey). The new development by TENSE meets all the latest requirements of modern reactive power compensation systems installed in various locations in industrial and commercial buildings – factories, workshops, agricultural enterprises, hotels, gas stations, shopping centers, schools, hospitals, banks.

The new reactive power controller (controller for reactive power compensation) has the following features:

• 12 relay outputs;

• Capability to operate with three or one current transformer;

• 2.9-inch LCD display + 17 LED indicators – allow easy setup and full control over the operation of the compensation system;

• Separate relay output, programmable for various emergency situations – overvoltage, harmonics, cos φ;

• Password protection of settings to prevent unauthorized changes to the operating parameters of the capacitor unit;

• Display of activated steps;

• Automatic and/or manual stepwise input of capacitor values;

• Automatic monitoring of the uniform operating time of individual steps;

• User-adjustable operating time parameters – response time to network changes, discharge time, time between reactivation of a step, time between switching on multiple steps;

• Compensation of both inductive and capacitive reactive power components;

• Built-in meters for active/reactive power (import/export/inductive/capacitive);

• Display of up to 31 harmonics for current and voltage;

• Measurement of total harmonic distortion of current and/or voltage;

• Integrated reactive power analyzer with recording and logging function for selecting capacitors in steps (20 recordings of 9999 minutes each).
